What is it?
Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a cosmetic procedure that rejuvenates the eye area by removing excess skin, muscle, and fat.
For upper blepharoplasty, a small incision is made in the natural crease of the upper eyelid, allowing the surgeon to lift and tighten the area while keeping the scar discreetly hidden within the fold.
For lower blepharoplasty, the incision is made either just below the lash line in the natural crease or inside the lower eyelid, depending on the patient’s needs. Both techniques help create a fresher, more youthful appearance around the eyes.
